Sunlight coming through the window set the stage for highlights and shadows in this arrangement awaiting those to come in and partake. Some simple rustic items in the right light can be some of the most beautiful.

I have been using oil paint to create various scenes and portraits for over 30 years. I still marvel at how colors and shapes form visually appealing paintings. I have traveled from regular brushes to more textured surfaces using a palette knife, and currently am using looser, more sweeping brush strokes. A variety of the above can be seen in the images displayed. One would think by now I would have settled on a method that was consistent, but I enjoy trying new things and even experimenting a bit.
