This painting, done with palette knife, captures a quiet creek running beneath the old guard on a pleasant afternoon which created wonderful surroundings to work in.
About Stephen King
I have been using oil paint to create various scenes and portraits for over 30 years. I still marvel at how colors and shapes form visually appealing paintings. I have traveled from regular brushes to more textured surfaces using a palette knife, and currently am using looser, more sweeping brush strokes. A variety of the above can be seen in the images displayed. One would think by now I would have settled on a method that was consistent, but I enjoy trying new things and even experimenting a bit.
