Over 60 years ago I sat in this shop while Grandpa cut my hair. Today, though Grandpa is not there any longer the shop is pretty much the same, at the same location. When it's time for this building to be gone, the memory will still linger.
I have been using oil paint to create various scenes and portraits for over 30 years. I still marvel at how colors and shapes form visually appealing paintings. I have traveled from regular brushes to more textured surfaces using a palette knife, and currently am using looser, more sweeping brush strokes. A variety of the above can be seen in the images displayed. One would think by now I would have settled on a method that was consistent, but I enjoy trying new things and even experimenting a bit.
