Stephen King

I have been using oil paint to create various scenes and portraits for over 30 years. I still marvel at how colors and shapes form visually appealing paintings. I have traveled from regular brushes to more textured surfaces using a palette knife, and currently am using looser, more sweeping brush strokes. A variety of the above can be seen in the images displayed. One would think by now I would have settled on a method that was consistent, but I enjoy trying new things and even experimenting a bit. Some of those 'experiments' never make it to these pages. I am beginning a series of dark, perhaps stormy skies. A full palette can produce a range of very nice colors, but sometimes limited colors can be more dramatic. I am...
